1st trip to the Safari Park

What a great day the kids and I had at the Safari park...the 1st of many we will have this year. The day was cool with the sun trying to peek through the clouds. It was great fun watching the kids take pictures with their new cameras. We each took over a hundred pictures and it was fun to see the day through the "kids eyes".

Here is what I watched most of the day...them finding all kinds of things to capture...praise the Lord for digital cameras!!! Here are some of our high lights...

There were cute babies...

Hungry birds and brave boys to feed them...

Psalm 139

O Lord, you have searched me and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tougue you know it completely, O LORD. You hem me in-behind and before; you have laid your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wounderful for me, too lofty for me to attain. Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will hold me fast. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

This Psalm of David has blessed me so much during my life...good times and heartbreaking times...can you just picture God holding us in His great big hands like a child holds a treasure for safe keeping? Or Him just sitting there thinking about us and waiting for us to talk to Him? He has time for each of us...why is it so hard to give Him our time? The one who created us? And knows what we are going to say before we say the words... Oh Lord please let them be the correct words!! Thank you my LORD for loving me and thinking of me even though I am as filthy rags. Thank you... for making me clean as pure snow through Jesus.
