My Fall Colors

Our Front Tree

Reminded me of the verse "He is the vine we are the branches"

As I watched the kids rake the leaves today I was so over whelmed at how grown up they are...

Yes... I did have to bribe them not to bicker at the job or each other but I did see that they can work together...and even how as I hear my two oldest talking and doing homework in the same room, I am so thankful they are here to remind me of Gods grace and mercy.

Each has their own strengths and weakness they each have their own way of getting things done...sometimes quick and joyfully and sometimes very slowly. As I do...as we all do. God has given them to me...they are mine, for now, and I see that in spite of me and all my failings God is blessing me with three great people. I get so over whelmed at being the Mom but God is their Father and I would not have it any other way!!! This is a great path God has this family on.

Psalm 139

O Lord, you have searched me and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tougue you know it completely, O LORD. You hem me in-behind and before; you have laid your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wounderful for me, too lofty for me to attain. Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will hold me fast. This Psalm of David has blessed me so much during my life...good times and heartbreaking times...can you just picture God holding us in His great big hands like a child holds a treasure for safe keeping? Or Him just sitting there thinking about us and waiting for us to talk to Him? He has time for each of us...why is it so hard to give Him our time? The one who created us? And knows what we are going to say before we say the words... Oh Lord please let them be the correct words!! Thank you my LORD for loving me and thinking of me even though I am as filthy rags. Thank you... for making me clean as pure snow through Jesus.
