Jell-o War

I debated whether to tell Trevor about the 7th/8th grade 3rd annual Jell-o War that was up and coming through our Charter/Homeschool...but how could I keep it from him??? This was perfect for him!!!To be allowed to throw Jell-o at people...I of course thought of all the gooey pictures I was going to miss if I didn't tell him. So being the kind (of) Mother I am, I told him, and go he did:) His team (7th grade boys) had to bring orange Jell-o ( praise the Lord...on sale for $0.89)

Before War

We were right on time...just to the wrong park...oops...stopped and asked someone if they knew where the right park was... got it!! Now just a few minutes late but still in time for gooey fun. Each team had to make up a game to teach and share with the whole group. Then came the free for all...each team had to line up in a line and then toss, throw, splatter, drench, how ever and who ever until all Jell-o was on someones white shirt...winning team was the one who had the most of their color on the other teams. The day was warm so the Jell-o was extra squishy and liquidity...great for drenching!! On the way home Trevor asked if he could make some more Jell-o...to eat:)

Psalm 139

O Lord, you have searched me and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tougue you know it completely, O LORD. You hem me in-behind and before; you have laid your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wounderful for me, too lofty for me to attain. Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will hold me fast. If I say, "Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me," even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you. This Psalm of David has blessed me so much during my life...good times and heartbreaking times...can you just picture God holding us in His great big hands like a child holds a treasure for safe keeping? Or Him just sitting there thinking about us and waiting for us to talk to Him? He has time for each of us...why is it so hard to give Him our time? The one who created us? And knows what we are going to say before we say the words... Oh Lord please let them be the correct words!! Thank you my LORD for loving me and thinking of me even though I am as filthy rags. Thank you... for making me clean as pure snow through Jesus.
