We had close to 8 inches of rain fall according to our rain gage this last week. I love it when it rains...it is a nice change from the sunshine and I know that the plants, and unfortunately the weeds, are getting some much needed water. Well I found that I have a major drainage issue on a side yard. It turns into an ankle deep "pond". So I spent many a hour sweeping the water out. The rain cleared a little and Tyler found his boots and he helped me sweep the water out. (I must have "Tom Sawyered" it up enough:) He was so determined to get every drop out...and was a little discouraged when it started to rain and flood again...but he did help me after the downpour.
